Documentary Wedding Photography in Jacksonville, FL

Meet Tyler

I'm Tyler, a documentary wedding photographer based in Jacksonville, Florida, and I photograph weddings across Northeast Florida, St. Augustine, and Southeast Georgia. I've witnessed over 500 weddings, and I shoot them the way they actually happen: the laughs, the happy tears, the chaos in between. My couples come from all over and celebrate every kind of love, and the one thing they have in common is they want photos that feel like them. That's the whole job, and I care a lot about getting it right.

What my wedding photography actually looks like

My style is documentary, which just means I'm paying close attention and catching the real stuff as it happens. I'll guide you when it helps, get you and your people where you need to be, and then I get out of the way so you can actually live your day. You don't need to know what to do with your hands, and you don't need a 40-item shot list. You just need to be you, together, and I'll handle the rest. The photos that come out of that are the ones you'll actually want on your wall.

What You Can Expect

Full wedding-day coverage, an online gallery of high-resolution, print-ready images, and the real in-between moments most photographers leave behind. I send a set of sneak-peek photos the very next day, because waiting weeks to see anything is the worst, and your full gallery usually lands about two weeks later. Want photos of just the two of you before the big day? I love engagement sessions, and they're a great way for us to get comfortable together first. On average, couples spend around $2,500 on photography with me; you can see current packages on my Pricing page.

Who I Photograph

How Your Wedding Day Goes with Me

There's no replacement for time, so I talk through the realities of what you want and how it'll actually look long before we get there. On the day, I handle the parts that need handling: the family photos, the group shots, the portraits of the two of you. That part's quick, and I'm good at it, so you're back with your people fast. The rest of the day I'm focused on you and your guests' experience, checking in as we go. I'm just a small piece of a very big day, and your wants will always drive how I help and document it.

FAQs

The ones couples care about most: am I available on your date, what's included, what's my style, how soon you'll get your photos, and whether I offer video. Ask me anything. I'd much rather you feel sure than polite.

How do I choose the right wedding photographer?

Look for someone whose photos feel like the kind of day you want to remember, who you actually click with, and who's clear about what you get. The connection matters as much as the portfolio. You're inviting this person into some really personal moments.
