the everything behind Tyler Gets Weird, a veteran-owned and operated business providing wedding photography and videography in Jacksonville, Florida. I serve every kind of couple across Northeast Florida, St. Augustine, and Southeast Georgia, including Brunswick and Jekyll Island. I started this very personal brand in 2022 after years of working for a big wedding company that focused heavily on quantity instead of quality. I’m proud to serve LGBTQ+ and queer weddings, elopements, courthouse and backyard ceremonies, and full venue celebrations. My approach is documentary: I capture your day as it happens. I have witnessed over 500 weddings and have all 5 star Google reviews that really speak to their experience on wedding day first and the beautiful images second. Most of my clients come to me with the worry they won’t photograph well and you can see in their reviews how those thoughts have changed and the positive impact of having a photographer who really cares.

How the Day Goes
There is no replacement for time so I make sure to talk out the realities of your wants and how that will look on wedding day long before we get there. I handle the parts that need handling: the family photos, the group shots, the portraits of the two of you, the handful of moments that take a lot of wrangling. The rest of the day I’m focused on you and your guests’ experience. I’m attentive and will check in with you as we go. I’m just a small piece of a very big day, your wants will always drive how I help and document your wedding day. Managing where it helps, giving space so you can be present. Photos that feel like the day you had.
Working With Me
Couples describe me as “intense” which is a strange compliment until you’ve had a photographer who clearly wanted to be somewhere else. For me, intense means fully there: helping bustling a dress when needed, handing over a tissue right before you knew you needed one, rerouting a timeline in real time while everyone else is frozen. None of that’s in the contract. It’s just who I am.
I pull inspiration from everywhere: films, a venue, your inspo board at 1am, and I use it to set the vibe, then let the actual day fill it in. The whole idea thing is to build your timeline so you can relax and actually enjoy your wedding.
I offer both: wedding photography and wedding videography across Jacksonville, Northeast Florida, and Southeast Georgia., When providing both services I bring on one of my trusted videographers trained in my style to handle capturing video. This allows me to direct and control both without compromising attention or quality for you. Start to finish, I handle everything to bring the creative vision to life.
